Speech
Aboriginal Australians are legally defined as people who are members "of the Aboriginal race of Australia". In the era of colonial and post-colonial government, access to basic human rights depended upon your race. If you were a "full blooded Aboriginal native or any person apparently having an admixture of Aboriginal blood", a half-caste being the "offspring of an Aboriginal mother and other than Aboriginal father" (but not of an Aboriginal father and other than Aboriginal mother), a "quadroon", or had a "strain" of Aboriginal blood you were forced to live on Reserves or Missions, work for rations, given minimal education, and needed governmental approval to marry, visit relatives or use electrical appliances. It still is like this, and I am so tired of living like this! I dont want to live like this anymore. Please stop the discrimination of the Austalian aboriginals! We are all the same, and also the "negros". I am tierd of living like this, I am 14 years old, but I can not live at home with my parents because I have to go to school with the british people, and I have no choice. We have to fight, because we can not be treated like this anymore only because we are black, and a little bit different. Different is beautiful.
Malala Yousafzai and Martin Luther King Jr.
Malala Yousafzai was born 12 July 1997, in Mingora, Pakistan. She is turning eighteen this year. Malala Yousafzai is a Pakistani activist for female education and the youngest person ever to be nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize, and at the age of sixteen, she became a worldwide symbol of peaceful protest against tyranny and ignorance. She is known mainly for human rights advocacy for education and for women in her native Swat Valley in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of northwest Pakistan, where the local Taliban had at times banned girls from attending school. Yousafzai's advocacy has since grown into an international movement.
Martin Luther King Jr. was born January 15, 1929 in Atlanta, Georgia and died April 4, 1968. He was an American Baptist minister, activist and the leader in the African-American Civil Rights Movement. Martin Luther King Jr. is most known for his role in advancement of civil rights using nonviolence. He is also known for his famous speech “I have a dream” from 1963.
The differences between Malala Yousafzai and Martin Luther King Jr. is that Malala is fighting for female education in Pakistan and Martin Luther King Jr. was fighting for racism in the USA and had the best speech ever.Martin Luther King was getting progressively old, while Malala is quite young when you come to think about it. It is very difficult to compare Malala Yousafzai and Mating Luther King Jr. because they struggled for different rights, but they both were figthing for human rights.
Homosexuals and adoption
Should homosexuals be allowed to adopt? It is very much discussion around this topic, but I think that the possibility of getting a child should be equal for all. Homosexuals are also human beings and like the society stands today there are no problems to have two men as parents. For most children it is good to grow up with two parents of different genders, because each gender can teach the child something the other gender cannot. And also for the parents it can be much easier. But for those who don’t have it like that, and like a person from the same gender better than the opposite, they should also get a chance to have children. They should teach their own children what they can. Because it is nothing wrong with being gay and therefore there shouldn’t be any problem to get a child just because you are gay.
In my opinion there is nothing wrong about the homosexuals so I mean that they should be allowed to adopt. I don’t understand why they shouldn’t be allowed to adopt just because they are homosexuals. No one decide by themselves which gender they like.
